The term challenges broad perceptions of the ‘weightlessness’ and ‘lightness’ of technologies (the non-corporeality of digital information) in a manner akin to comments made by Donna Haraway’s rearticulation of the cyborg as an embodied figure (Haraway, 1991, p.154).
